I admit it, I love watching people at malls, I love sitting at Starbucks and observe the crowds, it makes me feel like a ...psychologist?

lately my people watching habit made me feel bad, about myself. not because watching them is wrong, but because I feel like I am the odd one!

ok let me explain

I am -el7mdellah- met7ajbah (I wear my 7ijab) and my 3abays are all closed, and the only makeup I wear is kohl and mascara. my husband loves it and according to him, it was the reason why he proposed to me the very next day after he first saw me :P

The trend with girls these days is wearing an open 3abaya, their hair out and dyed blonde, red lips and strong eyeliner. also wearing neon high heels and skinny jeans. when I walk next to these girls i feel like i am 80 years old, I feel like I am the odd one and what I am wearing is wrong.

I love fashion, and try to follow trends but i can't make myself take off my 7ijab, I can't walk around with a face full of makeup and half of my body uncovered for sake of being called trendy or beautiful. I heard a lot of comments about they way i dress and it depresses me to know that our society looks down on girls who are following Allah's orders.

I am in Dubai until after I give birth enshallah, so staying at my parents house brings out a lot of emotions and thoughts to me

for example, being back here makes me feel like i am 18 again! my parents still treat me the way they used before i got married, I am not allowed to eat chocolate or junk food, no staying up late and i must wake up in the morning :S

i love it nonetheless, i don't necessarily follow their rules but i love it

last night my mom and sisters went to Ajman for a family dinner, I felt heavy and didn't join them. so I stayed with my father and elder sister at home. we were having dinner at my father's tv room/office and we watched movies, talked about everything and joked.

a thought suddenly hit me

i love my father!

i never admitted this before because i never felt that way before. my memories of my father as I was growing up were negative and cruel. I hated the way he "controlled" us, forbid us from being free and making me wear the 7ijab! my relationship with him was very official, I only spoke to him when I wanted something. I don't remember hugging him for no reason like i did with my mom, or sitting with him and talk about anything, or even missing him when he is gone.

my father was (and somehow still) a strict military man, he raised us to be like him but we rebelled against it and caused a drift that lasted for years. we never thought that he did whatever he was doing to protect us from people's judgment and Allah's wrath. this all became clear when I got engaged.

my husband told me that he asked around about me and everyone said the same, "Mashallah banat 3li are respectful, decent and unlike other girls. they are well educated and well behaved", he told me that he loved how I was the only one wearing the 7ijab in the family dinner he was attending. it surprised me, I thought guys steered clear from girls wearing 7ijab!

my two younger sisters are complaining about how they don't get as much freedom as girls in their age group, it makes me laugh when they do that, I tell them they will realize why our father does this by the time they get married.

I once wrote my name and date and address on a 10 Dirhams note, and used to pay for something, can't remember what exactly and I am still waiting for it to come back to me :P that was almost 10 years ago

a few weeks ago I posted this on my FB status,
"What if all the people who were infected with the Swine Flu turn into ZOMBIES?"
a lot of people liked the idea and thought of it as funny, but not me. I was serious, what if they really turned into zombies?!

anyone who knows me, know that I love zombie movies, I could watch them all day and I hate missing the ones showing at the cinemas

but after I watch the movies, I start thinking about them. What if all those movies are a warning to us, that zombies will invade us and start eating us. I think about how will I save 7amoody! where will i keep him safe away from flesh eating zombies. how will I get supplies of food and pampers if I ran out of them, how will I keep 7amoody's noise down so the zombies won't hear him. I spend months planning and plotting and I even talked to my husband about it. I am planning to build a panic room in my house enshallah

so what would you do if zombies attacked us?

highlights of my life so far...

+ my sister gave birth to an adorable little baby girl :D I am a second time aunt and omg i love that little angel, mabrook fa6ooommmyyy and hisshaaaam :D tetraba fe 3ezkom enshallah

+ I went for my monthly scan and omg, I am going to have a girl :D my eyes teared up when the doctor told me, I wanted to hug her! she is healthy and perfect and that is all that matters

+ I am in the middle of finishing up my business plan, oh yeah, didn't I tell you? I am planning to start a business from home enshallah. since i am going to take care of two babies, I won't be able to work so my husband suggested that I start working from home and he's going to pay for everything -how cool is that? lol-. more details enshallah later

+ FINALLY my husband succumbed to my nagging and we spent the weekend at a hotel, to change el jaw lol. we stayed for two nights are Burj Al Arab with his family -bleh- but I got to go to their spa and get pampered so it wasn't all bad :D

+ I was at Dubai Mall with my husband this weekend, we passed one of their shows and I saw something that made my blood boil! a little girl who is obviously mentally disabled and on a wheelchair was with her parents who are watching the show while she was thrown to the back, her chair was not facing the show and she looked lost and lonely. her parents thought since she is disabled she will not enjoy or understand the show, how cruel is that!!! I wanted to walk to the ignorant parents and give them a long lecture but my husband told me to just walk away, he explained that people like those are best ignored because they will only fight back and cause trouble for me and might take their frustration on the poor little girl

+ if you love someone, you show it in different ways. you can hold their hands, buy them a red rose, whisper i love to their ears or just just give them a look that only the two of you would get. You don't be an animal about it and dry hump them in front of people! I saw a couple -they looked Russian- at Marina Mall sometime ago and omg, all they needed was a film crew and they could make a porn movie! they were all over each other in front of families and children, they had no respect for anyone or this country's tradition or religion!

*sigh* people irk me, I stopped going out and prefer to stay at home from all the horrible things I see. young girls acting like whores, men who don't deserve to be called men at all! and mothers who should be whipped for neglecting their children...and so much more

yesterday I was at my in laws for a dinner party, my husband's cousin's wife (AA) was there, i am not very in touch with her but i am very friendly with her because my husband and his cousin -her husband- are best friends and i don't wan to do any thing to ruin it

so i saw her and i said hi to her, she gave me this nasty look and said nothing. i shrugged and sat away from her. later after dinner i was giving away the cakes and sweets and i saw her, i asked her if she wanted more cake and she did the same thing, but it made me angry because she did it in front of everyone! the whole majlis was looking at me like i did something. i ignored her and sat next to my husband's sister in law, i asked her why (AA) was treating me that way, and she said she doesn't know. i looked at (AA) and saw she was glaring at me. (AA) turned to someone who sat next to her and said VERY LOUDLY, "if you have a problem with me, come and talk to me, don't be sneaky and like a school girl and ask someone else". I wanted to walk to her and throw water in her face and give her a very big piece of my mind

I've done nothing to her, NOTHING! there is no reason for her to act this way, i never said anything bad about her, i always ask about her and i give her the occasional call every once in a while, she has absolutely no reason to treat me this way
maalaat 3aleeha! el problem is that she will be moving next to me in few weeks and i will see her face every time i leave my apartment

1) when I was a child, I almost murdered my eldest sister LOL!!!! I asked her to stick one of those round headbands in her nose, and she had to be rushed to the hospital and be operated on to get it out!!! LOL!

3) I either hate or love a person, there is no in between.

4) when i was pregnant, i always locked my bedroom door after my husband went to work because i had this insane idea that there are goats in the hallway and they will attack me if i leave the door open!

5) I used to reeeeeeeeeeally hate my younger sister, alya. omg i hated her so much! but now we are best friends...i think.... *gives alya the side-eyes*

6) people used to think i am a snob. my normal face expression gives that impression to people

7) I used to smoke but quit on the day i got engaged

9) I secretly wanted to go inside one of the sex shops in Germany, just to see...wallah i just wanted to see what it looked from the inside

I've had a very rough week, an idiot of a doctor told us 7amood has to undergo surgery to correct his circumcision. he explained that he has to go under general anesthetic and before the operation, he has to fast for six hours!!!!!!!!!!! he is one years old, how can he fast for six hours?!?!?!
elmohem, i didn't feel good about what he said so i took him today to see a pediatric surgeon, and Allah blesses him, he said there is absolutely no need for surgery and he cleaned 7amoody's peepee and said that's it. no surgery, no bullshit!

I haven't been sleeping well or eating since that idiot doctor told us about the surgery, but today el7mdellah i felt better. and today is my second wedding anniversary :D

two years ago, i had the best day of my life. I married the person i love, i started a new life and folded a dark and stupid chapter in my life. i love being in love, and i love waking next to the person who makes me smile every second of my life. i love him for being my best friend before being my husband. i love him for making me laugh, i love him for making me angry and mad.

It started on Friday, i felt pain in my abdomen but i ignored it and went to have lunch with my family. On Saturday, on my way back to Abu Dhabi, i felt the pain again but again i didn’t tell anyone. i thought it might be just gas lol

on Saturday evening, I went to my in laws to see them before they leave to Qatar for a wedding. I was with my sisters in law who were getting henna, i told them about the pain and one joked saying, "yemken betrabeen?" i laughed and told her, "keef arabee? ana ba3adnee fel thamen". the other threatened me not to give birth while they are in Qatar, i told her its just gas and i am not giving birth. an hour later, the pain started again but this time it was sever. i called my husband and asked him to take me to the hospital

I went to Al Corniche Hospital and i wish i hadn't, the worst hospital EVER! I was there from 9 until 1 am!!! the nurse refused to let the doctor see me and i snapped at her, i threatened to call the police and get her fired and sue the hospital! she got scared and admitted me in 10 minutes. the doctor saw me and said i was in labor! she asked me if i wanted to get a room here and i said -very rudely-, "when hell freezes over, i will give birth here" i threw my file at her and told her o burn it coz its the last time i step foot in tat hell hole.

i went back to my apartment and tried to sleep, but couldn't. at 3, i woke my husband and told him to take me to the hospital. i started crying because i knew it was time and i was totally not ready. i didn’t get anything for the hospital, dresses and giveaways, nothing! i was still 8 months pregnant!!! el7mdellah, 7amoody's clothes were the only thing that was ready.

the ride to Al Rahbah hospital was scary, it was foggy and my husband could barely see anything bas el7mdellah we arrived safely and checked into my room.

my doctors were amazing, they comforted me, and helped me though it. an American doctor who became Muslim gave me this do3aa to help me with labor, she was very supportive. my mom and dad and sisters came all the way form Dubai, my husband’s family were there too, minus his mother and sisters who flew to Qatar, his mother was crying on the phone telling me how she wanted to be by my side but i made her go, they had a family wedding there and i didn't want them to miss it

at 4 pm 7amoody was welcomed to our world, and i remember every second of it. the moment he came out, i begged the doctor to let me hold him, i was crying! I held him to my chest and said, "7abebbee, 7amoody 7abeebee", my husband who was holding my hand the whole time was crying too. it was beautiful, 7amoody was beautiful.

el7mdellah, he was fine and i left the hospital after three days and stayed in Dubai for a month and two weeks.

i miss sleeping, i miss going to the movies, i miss eating properly and i miss shopping bas its ok, as long as i have 7amoody nothing else matters!

tonight my two cousins came over for dinner and it felt good being around them
we -my sister and I, and my two cousins- recently became mothers, so the first few hours we discussed our children and married lives then..

ohh then we went crazy just like the old days, before we got married

we started reminiscing about our childhood, the stupid things we did, our silly hangouts and how we misbehaved :P

i remember when we used to hangout at Coffee bean and Tea Leaf at Jumeirah Road, i remember when we killed a mouse lol, i remember when we "skied" down their stairs on a mattress LOL!
we did so many stupid things and its kind of fun and embarrassing to remember them

I love being with them, it like i found myself again, i don't have to be the well behaved housewife around them, i can just be me

my birthday this year was by far the worst. i didn't enjoy it one bit :(
i didn't get the presents i wanted, my husband came all the way from Abu Dhabi for few hours then he went back, i didn't have a nice dinner and my husband didn't get me my favorite chocolate cake

Before i start posting random bits of my life, i want to introduce myself :D

27 years old female, used to live in Dubai but moved to Abu Dhabi after she got married to the most amazing man ever, happily in love and blessed with a beautiful baby boy, i am a full time housewife who cannot cook, mixes white and colored clothes in the washing machine, and gets sick if my hands touches the toilet.
I have a million and one ideas to start my own business, but my indecisiveness prevents me from starting any.
